I've captured part of my screen, showing the Desktop Setting currently selected and the resulting background:

I was wondering whether anybody else in here has seen this behaviour before and if so what he/she did to solve it.įYI: When this happened I was editing some photos in Adobe's latest Lightroom Classic version, nothing else apart from Apple Music running. What happens is that my desktop background does indeed change based on the selection (even when selecting the two "still" modes) but as soon as I select the "Dynamic" mode again, the background turns completely white again! I've tried to toggle between modes in the "Desktop & Screen Saver" settings to see whether I could somehow reset it by selecting a different Desktop picture as well as looping through the three modes of the Catalina Dynamic Desktop (Dark (still) -> Light (still) -> Dynamic) with no real result. Now all of a sudden this problem pops up again. I've experienced this very same problem with MacOS Mojave as well but up until now hadn't experienced it anymore with Catalina. I've got this strange issue that my dynamic wallpaper (the default Catalina island wallpaper shipped with the latest MacOS Catalina) all of a sudden changed from its normal appearance (the photo of catalina island dynamically changing depending on time of day) into a full white background.
